Indiana man arrested for trespassing at Cincinnati Reds game

CINCINNATI (AP) — A 19-year-old Indiana man accused of running across the field during a Cincinnati Reds game has been arrested in Ohio.

Justin Buchanan of Noblesville, Indiana was arrested Thursday night at the Cincinnati police headquarters and is charged with criminal trespassing on a place of public amusement, a first degree misdemeanor.

Police say Buchanan entered the field at Great American Ballpark during the eighth inning of Wednesday night's game against the Chicago Cubs. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports ( http://cin.ci/1Oq7Qdw ) Buchanan recorded himself on his cellphone as he sprinted toward center field, then scaled a 10-foot fence before running out of the stadium.

Buchanan tells the newspaper he voluntarily turned himself in to police.

He could face 180 days in jail or a fine of up to $1,000 if found guilty.

Harry Simpson, 24, of Abbey Wood, Greenwich, was jailed at Woolwich Crown Court on Monday after admitting possession with intent to supply class A drugs, as well as a stack of other charges.

After he was stopped by police in February for driving a hired BMW "erratically", detectives found he had a large sum of money they believed was linked to crime, and decided to search his house.

There they found a stash of 89 per cent pure cocaine and a kilogramme of cannabis with a total street value of £40,000.

He was jailed for five years and three months for possession of cocaine with intent to supply, as well as a two and a half year sentence for possessing cannabis, two months for driving while disqualified and 21 months for possession of criminal property.

Simpson will be behind bars for just over five years as all his sentences are running concurrently.

Det Const Chris Lewis said: "Hopefully the donation of the cash seized can do some good in the community as opposed to the irreparable harm it causes in the hands of drug dealers."

A spokesman for the pets charity said: "Battersea Dogs and Cats Home is grateful to Greenwich Police for kindly offering us this donation to help our charity continue to care for many lost, abandoned and unwanted dogs and cats."
